All day Saturday, December 13, downtown Gulfport’s Beach Boulevard bustled with crafters, street vendors, and roving Victorian characters, and all in place to bring attention to the stalwart brick-and-mortar businesses lining the street.

The annual Holiday Hoopla, sponsored by the city of Gulfport and the Gulfport Merchants Association, ran from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday. The event, now in its sixth year, was designed to remind people to shop local.
