The 38th annual Florida Antiquarian Book Fair returns to St. Petersburg’s Historic
Coliseum April 26-28, 2019.
The book fair is the largest and longest running fair of its kind in the Southeastern United States and features more than one hundred specialized booksellers from all over the country, who bring an astonishing array of books,
maps, prints, postcards, ephemera, and other paper collectibles. It’s truly a book lover’s paradise, and visitors can expect to find all kinds of printed treasures, including modern fiction, Americana, Florida history and literature, travel and exploration, fine bindings, poetry, cooking, military history, world history, the classics,
art books, religion, children’s literature, and illustrated books. Items range in price from a
few dollars to several hundred thousand dollars. Booksellers will be showcasing a
number of special items of significant cultural and historical importance.

The Fair is open Friday, April 26th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 27th, from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 28th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday evening’s admission, which includes a live classical music performance, is $10;
the ticket is good for the entire weekend.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $6 for the day or $10 for the weekend. Children 12
and under, and students with valid identification, are free. Parking is free.

Food and beverages, including cash bar, are available onsite. St. Petersburg’s Historic
Coliseum, 535 Fourth Avenue North, is known as “the finest ballroom in the South.”
Opened in 1925, the building was nicknamed the “Palace of Pleasure” in the Roaring
Twenties, and has played host to such famed artists as Louie Armstrong, Buddy Rich,
Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, and Harry James, among others.
