Ales and Wild Tails: Protecting Wildlife from Artificial Light

Join the Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges for environmental education, conversation and beer — all at the same time. This month Diana Umpierre, vice president of the International Dark-Sky Association and chair of its Florida chapter will speak about the damaging effects of light pollution and how to protect natural dark skies in Florida. Ms. Umpierre is a certified planner, geographer, geoscientist, and avid Everglades restoration grassroots organizer with the Sierra Club.
