Finish out election week at the 46th annual fall festival, this Thursday through Sunday, November 10 to 13, sponsored by the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic church, 5800 15th Ave. S. “Everybody can have fun,” said Father George Iregi, priest of the church and overseer of the organizing committee. “It’s a great event where the community comes together” to support the church, he said. From 16 to 18 rides in addition to midway skill games have been set up and are being run by 35 to 40 experienced workers employed by Arnold Amusements of Riverview, said General Manager David Starkey. Above, Kristin Lilly, ride operator, washes a wing for the Cliff Hanger ride. The seats get installed under the wings. “You lay down on the seat and it kinda goes up into the air and then angles you back down in a big circle, she said. The ride is located in the center of the festival near the Fun Slide. For more info call 727-347-9989.
