$1 per Mile: Senior Center Foundation Board Vice President Mike Calamari is running for money! That’s right! He’s running to benefit the Gulfport Senior Center. The 30K (18 miles) Canadian Race will be held in Ontario, Canada on March 29. You can be a part of this, too, by pledging $1 per mile (or any amount). Donations will be accepted at the Senior Center. Transportation Fair: Mark your calendar now for Wed. Mar. 24 at 1:30pm. Guest speaker Sue Samson from the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. will address transportation issues pertaining to seniors. Ms. Samson has much expertise in this area and will shed light on the importance of knowing when it’s time to consider other transportation alternatives. Area transportation vendors will also be on hand to share specifics about their services. Vendors include GEMS, PSTA, DART, Neighborly Care Network, EZ Ride, Metropolitan Transportation Organization, Wheelchair Transport, etc. Light refreshments will be provided.
