BELLIS, Mark Ernest, 58, of South Pasadena, Florida passed away unexpectedly at his home Feb. 17, 2010. Mark was born in Des Moines, IA to Robert and Mildred Bellis. He moved with his parents to Kansas City and later to Joplin, MO at the age of 10. He attended Missouri Southern College and graduated from Pittsburg State University in Kansas and moved to the St. Petersburg/Tampa area shortly after college. He worked at St. Petersburg General Hospital as a staff technologist. Previous employment included work at Eclipsys (Sysware), and the Blood Bank at Palms of Pasadena and Northside Hospital. Mark was an avid fan of the Tampa Rays and enjoyed Florida sports teams. He enjoyed traveling and photography. He will be missed by many friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his father Robert. He is survived by his mother, Mildred; brother, Larry (Joan) Bellis; nieces, Susan Bellis, Cathy (Dave) Cardwell and Patty (Paul) Glaser; nephew, Dave (Natalie) Bellis; plus many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, Iowa followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

DUTCHER, Hazel Valerie, 83, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was a member of the Lion’s Club. She was preceded in death by her mother Isabella Arkell and her husband Robert G. Dutcher. She is survived by her daughter Vicki Karbowski of Gulfport, FL; her son Scott H. Dutcher of Orlando, FL; her daughter in law Jennifer C. Dutcher; her grandsons Derek J. Karbowski and Gavin G. Dutcher; granddaughters Mary Kate Dutcher and Cassidy J. Dutcher. JAGIENCARZ, Czeslawa (Marcisz) “Cesia”, 84, resident of Bay Island in South Pasadena for 16 years went to heaven to be with her beloved Lord on Feb. 20, 2010. Born in Tarnow, Poland, she came to Florida in 1994 from New York. She is survived by her loving daughter, Eva Rydzy; her favorite son- in-law, Gerald Pico of South Pasadena; grandson, Jerry M. Pico (Desiree) of San Francisco; sister-in-law, Stenia of New Britain, CT; first cousin, Mary Kepa of British Columbia; nieces and nephews in Connecticut and Poland along with many friends in the USA and Poland. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday Feb. 24, 2010 from 5-7 pm at Beach Memorial Chapel St. Pete Beach 727-360-5577. PIPER, Edwin C., 93, of Gulfport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at home. Born in Brunswick, OH, he came here in 1957 from Medina, OH. He graduated from Medina High School. He was a United States Army veteran serving in World War II. He was of Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Caroline Piper; wife Miriam and sister Dorothy Schlecty. He is survived by his son Thomas Henry (Geraldine) Brotherton of Chippewa Lake, OH; granddaughters Kimberly Ennis and Dawn (John) Feagan nee Brotherton; great grandson J.T. Feagan of Wadsworth, OH; nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services to be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at ALife Tribute-5601 Gulfport Boulevard S. with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

SINTICH, Anton G., a resident of South Pasadena since his retirement in 1974, died on Feb. 20, 2010, at the age of 98. Born in Dragozetici, Croatia on March 24, 1911, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1929. He was married to his loving wife, Dolores for 70 years before she passed away in 2005. Prior to moving to Florida, he was an attorney in Long Island, City, NY. A graduate of the City College of New York and Brooklyn Law School, and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1959. He practiced both immigration and general law and had been employed for 20 years as the Chief Translator for the Metropolitan Life. He was a member of the Association of Immigration and Nationality Lawyers, American Slavic Congress Delegate, Croatian American Club of Florida, Former President of the Brotherhood of the Anchor Benevolent Society of New York, Democratic/Yugoslav Club of New York and Shore Crest Condominium Association of South Pasadena. He was a wonderful father to Elaine and Robert, father-in-law to Richard and Helen and grandfather to Robbie. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
