Excerpts heard at the March 2, 2010 Gulfport city council meeting


“I thought it was nice.” —Councilman Sam Henderson, who worked with Gulfport Montessori Elementary to get student artwork on the walls in council chambers. Henderson said he’d like to see the artwork rotated out with high school student’s artwork.

“I make a motion we adjourn.” —Vice-Mayor Bob Worthington, who historically has the motion to adjourn the meetings. Worthington offered Councilmember Sam Henderson the honors, but Henderson said he didn’t want to take anything away from Worthington’s last opportunity to make that particular motion.
