The art of five artists and sculptors whose work adorns Clymer Park was honored Saturday, March 28 with a dedication and ribbon cutting co-hosted by the city of Gulfport and the Gulfport Neighbors. The event marked the grand opening of the Clymer Park Sculpture Garden, which links Gulfport Boulevard to Gulfport’s downtown waterfront area. A crowd came to witness the dedication, enjoy refreshments and view the 10 unique sculptures placed along the pathway that circles the garden. Local artists Susanne Vernon, Tom Pitzen, Frank Strunk III, Owen Pach and Jonathan Schork were commissioned by the city to create the sculptures in 2014.
