Blooming Sales

February 27, 2015 by Helen J. Simon

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERABeulah Samples, 93, of Bonnie Glynn, shows off a sampaguita, a type of jasmine that’s the national flower of the Philippines, Friday, February 20, at the Garden Club of St. Petersburg’s two-day flea market and plant sale at 500 Sunset Drive S., St. Petersburg. Samples said she is the oldest member of the Garden Club’s Day Lilly Circle.

“This is part of my secret,” she said, explaining that interacting with people and plants helps keep her young.
