City Endorses Green Light Pinellas

June 3, 2014 by The Gabber

Citing the benefits to beach businesses and workers as well as visitors, the St. Pete Beach Commission voted unanimously to endorse the Green Light Pinellas initiative Tuesday night. Prior to this decision, the commission heard representatives from both Green Light Pinellas as well as No Tax For Tracks.

β€œIt seems like No Tax For Tracks has a lot of misinformation,” Vice Mayor Melinda Pletcher said. The commission will not vote as an elected body on this issue.

Should it pass, Green Light Pinellas will change the frequency, cost and types of public transportation in Pinellas County.
