St. Pete’s Grand Central District has a new European-inspired cafe. Crispy Avenue, at 2040 Central Ave., across from the former Haslam’s Bookstore, serves breakfast, lunch and coffee. It has indoor seating and a back patio.
Crispy Avenue in St. Pete
Crispy Avenue focuses on pastries, desserts, and coffee drinks. The menu features croissants, cinnamon buns and éclairs, along with crème brûlée cheesecakes and strawberry banana mousse. Savory options include the Hybrid Burger made with lamb and Angus beef, and the Turkey Truffle sandwich with bacon and truffle porcini cheese. Salads round out the offerings. The antioxidant salad combines arugula, baby spinach, quinoa, dried cranberries, cashews, Bulgarian feta and blueberry dressing.
The storefront also features a small market that sells international and artisanal goods, as well as whole cakes, including tiramisu.
