Dads’ Kitchen and Co. opens Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2105 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District. The restaurant, next to the Speakeasy Central Kava Bar, is replacing the former 2D Café, which closed early last year.

Nick Ellis and Joseph Christianson own the restaurant, which will serve comfort-focused breakfast and lunch dishes. The menu will include club sandwiches, specialty burgers, biscuits with gravy, chicken and waffles, and pancake tacos filled with eggs and toppings.
“Every detail has been thoughtfully redone with love and excitement,” the owners said on their Facebook business page. “This space means so much to our family, and we can’t wait to welcome the community.”
The couple previously owned Roo Roo’s Diner in Largo, from 2020 to 2024, where they taught disabled adults work-life skills.
