Mermaids and Angels: Floridian Inspired Art Exhibition

After a career illustrating comics, children’s books, and designing toys, Mark Pennington has turned toward the dark side. He worked for Hasbro, DC, Marvel and Dark Horse, just to name a few, but his new work features unearthly angels, sea maidens, and haunting scenes taken from Floridian lore. Mark’s new show, “Mermaids and Angels” gives a bizarre and strange twist to the subject. See it at St. Pete ArtWorks January 12 through February 14. A reception will be held during St. Pete’s second Saturday Art Walk, February 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring music by Marty and Bonnie as Those Lovebirds.
