Early Sunday morning beachgoers were greeted by sunshine and a high-flying red macaw at the kite festival behind the Thunderbird Resort in Treasure Island. Now in its 18th year, the festival always attracts a crowd and this year was no exception due to warm weather, the perfect amount of wind and a variety of unique kites.
