Fourth of July, Gulfport-Style

July 8, 2015 by Lynn Taylor

Blazing heat with temperatures in the 90s didn’t deter the crowds at the all-day 2015 Gulfport Fourth of July Celebration. The children’s fishing derby along the seawall behind the Gulfport Recreation Center led to the family sand sculpture contest, and the Kid Zone at the beach.  Music, vendors and a parade were followed by fireworks with only a short weather delay – a Fourth celebrated Gulfport-style.
