Here’s some footage from storm surge at the Gulfport Casino in Gulfport, Florida.
Our web developer, 007 Computer Services, pays attention to the weather. He sent us this video clip with some thoughts about the storm surge from Hurricane Helene:
“At this point the wind was shifting from the southeast to more from the southwest. The strongest gusts Gulfport had were an hour earlier, around 6 p.m. based on local weather stations right as Hurricane Helene was pretty much west of us. The main difference is with the southwest winds that the tide started rising. This clip starts with the white vehicle starting to float. And by the end it is floating up against the pilings in front of Stormrunners. 7 p.m. is still more than five hours before high tide, but it is obvious the town is in trouble.”
We’re the calm during — and after — the storm. No hype, only help!
