Happy Pride, Gulfport!

The first full Gulfport Pride celebration showered rainbows over Beach Boulevard South, Saturday, May 29. 

Complete with vibrator races, drag shows and all-day vendors, the event doubled as a fundraiser for the LGBTQ Resource Center of the Gulfport Public Library.

The Gulfport Vibrator Races were perhaps one of the most sought after events at Gulfport Pride. An entirely new set of sex toys were purchased just a week before the event due to a theft of the orginal items at Salty’s Bar. “I was hoping she (the thief) would make a guest appearance,” joked Brianna Summers, a drag performer who hosted the race.  Photo by Abby Baker.
