Kelly’s Roast Beef has closed its South Pasadena location. The restaurant was one of several independently owned and operated Kelly’s locations in Florida that closed in January.
The South Pasadena restaurant opened three years ago during the brand’s expansion into Florida. Other Florida Kelly’s locations also closed last month, including ones in Naples and Fort Myers.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the official Kelly’s Roast Beef page acknowledged the closures.
“We want to extend our sincere thanks to the Florida team members and guests, wishing those impacted by the closures the very best,” they said.
Kelly’s first opened as a hot dog shack on Revere Beach, Mass., 75 years ago. The original Kelly’s Roast Beef is still open, along with other locations in New England.
