Gulfport, Lewd or Lascivious Battery – This past Monday night, April 27, Gulfport Police arrested an 18-year-old man from St. Petersburg and charged him with one felony count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery, a charge better known as statutory rape. This means the accused individual allegedly engaged in some sort of sexual intercourse, either consensually or non-consensually, with a minor between the ages of 13 and 15. He is currently in jail, awaiting trial on $10,000 bond.
Gulfport, Non-Payment of Child Support/Petit Theft – A 53-year-old Clearwater man was arrested by Gulfport Police Monday afternoon, April 27, and charged with two misdemeanor crimes. The first was failure to pay child support and the second was petit theft. He was released from jail after paying a $250 bond.
Gulfport, Failure to Update Driver’s License/Driving an Unregulated Motor Vehicle – Gulfport Police arrested a 21-year-old St. Petersburg man, who is originally from Pennsylvania, and charged him with two traffic-related misdemeanors. The man was allegedly driving with an out-of-state license and in an allegedly unregulated motor vehicle. He bonded out of jail after paying a total of $500 for both charges.
