Local Market Roundup

Katie Schubert and Jaymes Longstrom shop for the perfect watermelon at the Corey Sunday Market.

It’s October, and Bay area residents and visitors alike know what that means: all the local outdoor markets are now open. While some markets, like Gulfport’s Tuesday Fresh Market, remain open year-round, many others are seasonal, closing during the summer and reopening the first week in October through the end of May.

Each market has a unique vibe and often features demonstrations and live music or other entertainment.  Offerings include produce, handcrafted jewelry and other handmade items, culinary creations, art, plants and much more plus plenty of food and drinks to enjoy while shopping and people watching. Most of the outdoor markets are pet-friendly.
