A new upscale wine lounge is opening in May in St. Petersburg. It will bring a new nightlife experience to downtown.
Dina Branham is the owner of Velvet Coupe. She operated a wine bar in Delray Beach from 2018 to 2022 and later moved to the Sarasota area with her mother. After moving to St. Petersburg last year, the city’s creative energy reignited her passion for hospitality.
“The passion and energy here inspired me to go for it,” she said.

Velvet Coupe’s vibe is best described as “moody sexy chic,” with a tagline of “luxury by omission,” she said.
The lounge will focus on small plates and organic wines made without harsh pesticides or unnecessary additives. Future plans include wine tastings, private members events, and live music nights.
