As part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Eckerd College, some participants visited the Cross Creek area of Florida on December 8. The Cross Creek Cookery class included lunch at a restaurant featuring regional food, a lecture about Majorie Kinnan Rawlings’ cooking and recipes, and a visit the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings State Park, where the class toured the grounds, garden and remaining orange groves.

OLLI at Eckerd, one of 115 participating colleges and universities across the country, caters to adult students over 50 seeking non-credit courses.
