The Gabber reported last week that a man was found shot dead on Wednesday, May 4 on 42nd Street, in between Central and 1st Avenue North. The man had been unidentified at the time of publication.
According to Yolanda Fernandez of the St. Petersburg Police Department, Major Crimes unit of the police department has identified the man as 40-year-old Joshua Dante Terrell.
Terrell reportedly lived a block away at 4180 ½ Central Ave.
Major Crimes is actively working the case. No suspect has been identified.
