Tina Hansen, a 15-year-veteran of the recently-closed-and-rumored-to-soon-be-an-ice-cream-shop Small Adventures, has kept literature alive in Gulfport. Next door to the former bookstore, Hansen opened the Book Booth inside the Beach Bazaar. While the Book Booth doesn’t have the space the Small Adventures cottage offered for books, it offers locals and visitors a chance to pick up a beach read and, as Hansen says, let the locals know books are still alive in Gulfport.
