Smiles on the Faces at Boca Ciega Center

December 27, 2014 by The Gabber

MY Foundation
Mike Yakes gives gifts to the children to distribute to the anxious residents.

The Michael J. Yakes (MY) Foundation donated a portion of the proceeds from a recent fundraiser to buy holiday gifts for residents at Gulfport’s Boca Ciega Center. As part of the foundation’s gift, several  of the residents also took a tour of holiday light displays through Gulfport and St. Petersburg.

“I am very proud to be part of this group. It takes a community to care for our seniors, and here we did just that,” said MY foundation chairperson and former Gulfport mayor, Mike Yakes.

Kids from the Gulfport Recreation Center helped former Gulfport mayor and MY Foundation chairperson Mike Yakes in gift giving on Monday December 22, at Boca Ciega Center
