St. Pete Beach: Looking for a New City Manager

May 29, 2014 by The Gabber

Q: At the last city commission meeting, Mayor Maria Lowe talked about using “benchmarking” to begin the search for a new city manager. What is this and how will city staff accomplish this?

A: “The mayor and commission would like to establish characteristics or traits that the stakeholders of St. Pete Beach would like to see in the next city manager,” Interim City Manager Eileen Edmunds tells the Gabber. These traits would be in addition to the technical and professional experience a city manager must have, not instead of, Edmunds says.

“Stakeholders” include property owners as well as all residents, business owners, city employees, and the commission.
