Stamps Feature Local Medal of Honor Recipients

June 10, 2015 by Helen J. Simon

Command Sgt. Maj. Gary Lee Littrell of St. Pete Beach

Command Sgt. Maj. Gary Lee Littrell of St. Pete Beach jokes about his lack of hair during a ceremony at the city community center June 4 honoring him and other Medal of Honor recipients from the Vietnam War who are featured on a sheet of stamps recently released by the U.S. Postal Service. The Limited Edition Vietnam War Medal of Honor Prestige Folio lists the names of the 258 Vietnam War Medal of Honor recipients, as well as photos of 48 of those still living. Laughing, Littrell said he selected the photo in the folio, which shows him with hair.
