Morgan Wujkowski is stepping into a co-owner role at Stella’s Divine Wine & Gourmet in Gulfport. The shop, at 2904 Beach Blvd. S., offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic wines, artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and gourmet foods.
“What sets us apart from a big box store is that we offer a curated selection of wines and are community driven,” Wujkowski said. “Every bottle has been tasted and chosen by a real person. If it’s on the shelf, it’s something we’d drink ourselves.”
Wujkowski is a classically trained chef and is pursuing sommelier certification.
Stella’s Divine Wine & Gourmet Expands Ownership
The shop plans to host cheese education and charcuterie classes, wine tasting 101, and arts and craft nights. Stella’s will also launch a monthly dinner series called “Obsessed With.”
The first dinner on Feb. 20 will feature meatballs paired with hand-selected wines.
Wujkowski, the food writer for The Gabber Newspaper, owns the shop with her wife, Barbara Banno. Banno also owns two neighboring businesses, Stella’s and Stella’s Sundries.
