Southern Pinellas “Sundown Towns”
Gulfport was not the only “sundown town” that prevented Blacks from living there. Largo, Indian Rocks Beach, and other south Pinellas County communities and subdivisions used ordinances, signs, and warnings to exclude Black Americans.
