At 5:20 a.m. on April 16, a Mercedes sedan struck a barrier wall and then a boat being towed by a Nissan Pathfinder on the southbound lanes of the Howard Frankland.
According to FHP, “Slaughter heard a ‘popping’ noise and suddenly felt glass strike her before noticing facial injuries suffered by Jordan who had been shot. While continuing to drive, Jordan instructed Slaughter to photograph or record the suspect vehicle with her phone which she was unable to do as the lock screen was covered in blood.”
After losing control of the car, the driver careened of the Interstate and hit a tree. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the fatal accident occurred on southbound Interstate 275, near exit 21, near 24th Street and 9th Avenue South.
