Free trees in Gulfport, now through the end of 2024. The City will give every resident a free tree once a month.
Usually Arbor Day is in April, but Gulfport Arbor Day is Dec. 1. This year, the City planted and gave trees to residents.

Gulfport horticulturalist Toffer Ross told The Gabber she wanted to plant Tuskegee Crape Myrtles because “the word Tuskegee has a certain embrace in what we now recognize as African American history.” She planted the trees near the cemetery, not on the actual property.
