Kickoff Party Set for Oct. 2
The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce will start things off Friday, Oct. 2, at Horan Park in St. Pete Beach, the press release said. The party will take place alongside the city’s October concert series. The band Big Brother will play live music before the nine-day event begins. NextHome Beach Time Realty Annie Fleeting Team sponsors the party.
Charlie Justice, the chamber’s president and CEO, said in the release that Taste of the Beaches is “the perfect excuse to be a tourist in your own town.” He urged people to “try somewhere new, revisit a favorite” and explore local restaurants.
Habitat for Humanity
According to the release, the event will give some of its money to Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside, a group that works to make owning a home more affordable for people in the community.
Justice said every ticket “helps bring customers through their doors.”
