Hubbard’s Marina will take a major sustainability leap on Jan. 1, 2026, when it goes plastic-free across its entire fleet.
The shift marks one of the most significant environmental changes in the marina’s long history of coastal stewardship.
Hubbard’s Marina’s Plastic-Free Initiative
The marina will replace plastic water bottles with reusable aluminum bottles on every vessel. It will also install filtered water refill stations to support the transition. The popular free beer and wine sunset cruise will switch from plastic cups to eco-friendly paper cups, eliminating all single-use plastics from guest operations.
The change offers a substantial environmental benefit. Hubbard’s currently distributes more than 100,000 plastic water bottles each year. Eliminating that waste will reduce plastic pollution and set a new regional sustainability standard.
“Our marine environment is at the heart of everything we do,” said Hubbard’s Marina in a press release. “Moving to a fully plastic-free operation reflects our commitment to protecting our waterways and setting an example for responsible tourism.”
Hubbard’s Marina operates within the fourth-generation Hubbard’s Enterprise Ecosystem. The family network includes fishing, cruises, ferry services, seafood, vessel fabrication, and regenerative agriculture businesses.
